Aerial footage of vancouver – high definition

Monday, August 18th, 2008

On Saturday I went flying with Christine Y. in her Cessna. What a cool experience to be only 1500ft. above Vancouver, in a little four seater plane. I really enjoyed the whole experience, and I’m glad that Paul brought up his High-Def camera! Here’s a link to the footage!

Random Thoughts

Friday, March 7th, 2008

For some reason I thought about mitosing cells today. Seriously, I was working away and bam, mitosing cells. Maybe it’s because the Whistler Filmmaker Showdown is coming up, or I get to see my new film Separation on Monday at the screening of the Quick Flick Challenge.

So here is – a Robjn Taylor original from crapneto: Mitosing Cells.

ps. It’s funny that crapneto just posted about it recently as well!

Port Moody Quick Flick Challenge

Monday, March 3rd, 2008

Quick Flick Film ChallengeI bet most of you are pretty tired Monday mornings. I know I am. I participated in a 48 hour film contest over the weekend, called the Port Moody Quick Flick Challenge, put on by Arts Connect. It was quite fun, and I will have a link to a web version soon. Here’s some videos of before the filming started.

Jason is Paul’s older brother, and he has a photoblog. He has some really cool shots, and by chance he also has a pretty rad camera.

Last but not least, here’s a cool green link – for people with kids! Called Green with Whimsy

Steadycam

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

I’ve played around with steady cams of this nature before. I really like the simplicity of the circle, and it’s cost effective too! The only thing I remember is that it got a little heavy after a while. This one would be very heavy!
